Four Dagestani girls, who earlier entered Georgia seeking help, are already safe, being transported to the third, safer country, women’s rights defender Baia Pataraia wrote on her social media account on Tuesday.

She told Front News that due to the safety of the girls all related details remained “strictly confidential”.

Dagestani girls, who had fled domestic violence, were allowed to enter Georgia from the Russian Federation on October 30.

Khadizhat and Fatimat Khizriev, Aminat Gazimagomedova and Fatimat Magomedova claimed that they might have been killed by their relatives and that they preferred to kill themselves instead of returning home.

According to them, relatives, parents, older brothers regularly beat them, and one of the girls was forced to marry her cousin, which accelerated their escape plans.

They said they did not feel safe in Georgia, because their relatives also lived in the country and asked for a transfer in the third county.
