New kindergarten for 180 children opens in Darcheli, western Georgia

A new kindergarten for 180 children has opened in the village of Darcheli, in Zugdidi Municipality, Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti region of western Georgia.
The facility includes modern indoor and outdoor spaces, recreational areas, utilities and sanitary facilities, and is fully adapted for children with disabilities.
The kindergarten was built by the Municipal Development Fund at a cost of 3,675,232 GEL. Similar new kindergartens have also been constructed in Chitakhevi, Rukhi and Shamgona.
The opening ceremony was attended by State Representative in Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti Davit Verava, acting Mayor of Zugdidi Besik Chezhia, MP Giorgi Guguchia, and head of the Preschool Management Centre Khatuna Toloraia.
The new kindergarten has been furnished and equipped by the NGO International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC).
According to officials, 14 kindergartens have been built and 27 rehabilitated across the region since 2012.
