Death toll following the August 3 deadly landslide in Georgia’s Shovi resort in the country’s west has hit 29, the Interior Ministry confirmed on Tuesday.

Four are still missing, the body added, in the aftermath of its statement earlier during the day that the whole disaster zone had been inspected.

The landslide hit the resort in the Oni municipality of the Racha region in the afternoon and fully destroyed it.

The domestic opposition and part of the public have accused the authorities of absence of early warning systems and delayed response to the disaster consequences.
