Defence ministry investigates alleged suicidee of sergeant

The Georgian defence ministry on Friday said it was investigating an alleged suicidee of a sergeant, who had reportedly hanged himself at the body’s base. 

Witnesses have been interviewed in the case, relevant examinations have been appointed and investigative actions are being carried out, the ministry noted. According to preliminary reports, the alleged suicide could probably be related to a family conflict.

The body expressed its sorrow over the incident and the death of the 45-year-old.
