Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia says that only 34 percent of the country’s adult population have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine so far, “which is a low rate and poses threats that the virus may mutate.”

She stated that as of today 100-150 daily cases of the coronavirus are recorded, and that the epidemiological situation “has stabilized much.”

Georgia has lifted all coronavirus reactions except the wearing of facemasks in transport and medical facilities.

The country has had 1,655,221 confirmed cases of coronavirus since April 2020.

1,637,293 of the 1,655,221 individuals have recovered, while 16,811 have died from the virus.

Georgian health officials have allowed the vaccination of children over 12 who have chronic diseases.
