Starting November 1 British AstraZeneca vaccine will not be used in Georgia against coronavirus due to a low demand on the jab, Georgian Health officials say.
Georgia will neither buy, nor receive the vaccine from donors.
AstraZeneca was the first coronavirus vaccine Georgia received in March 2021.
However, the death of a nurse in eastern Akhaltsikhe region of Georgia after receiving the jab the same month seriously hampered the vaccination process.
11, 181 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines are left in Georgia.
From next month vaccination will continue with Pfizer, Sinovac and Sinopharm jabs.
