Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has objected to Russia's forthcoming chairmanship of the UN Security Council, saying it was a “bad joke”.
Russia will take over the presidency of the Security Council on the principle of rotation from April 1.
"Russia's chairmanship of the UN Security Council is a bad joke. Russia has usurped this seat. It is waging a colonial war. Its leader is a war criminal who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for kidnapping children”, Kuleba said.
He added that the world “cannot be safe when Russia is in the UN Security Council”.
