Didgoroba is celebrated on a large scale

August 12 will mark the 900th anniversary of the mighty battle of Didgori.

 

A large-scale event organized by the Government of Georgia is planned to celebrate the anniversary of “Dzlevai Sakvireveli”. 

 

On August 12, the Didgori Memorial and the surrounding area, as well as the Gelati Monastery Complex and the Geguti Palace area will be revived with an impressive theatrical performance of an important episode of the 12th century in the history of Georgia. 

 

Various creative groups and Georgian singers will take part in the event together with the Georgian Defense Forces. Awarding of military servicemen is also planned for the Didgoroba.
