Swiss airline Edelweiss has announced plans to expand its Zurich–Tbilisi route, increasing the number of weekly flights as part of its strategy to boost tourism between Switzerland and Georgia.

The airline initially launched the route in April 2025 with two weekly flights, operating until the end of October. From April to October 2026, Edelweiss plans to increase frequency to three flights per week, with long-term goals including year-round service and potential expansion to other Georgian airports and neighboring countries.

Edelweiss stressed that Georgia’s cultural diversity and growing popularity among Swiss travelers make the route a timely addition to its network.
