Editor showing banner in support of Ukraine during a live show of Russian main TV channel arrested

Marina Ovsyannikova, an editor at the Russian government – controlled Channel One, who burst onto the set of the live broadcast of news late yesterday with a banner in support of Ukraine and shouting: “Stop the war. No to war,” has been arrested, Guardian reports.
This very unusual incident took place during a main evening news program, Vremia, when the host of the show, Ekaterina Andrejeva, switched to reporting on relations with Belarus.
Ovsyannikova, in a dark work suit, ran behind her holding a homemade poster with the inscription in English.
Under the English inscription “No War” in Russian it was written: “Stop the war. Don’t believe the propaganda. Here they lie to you. ”At the bottom of the poster was the English inscription “Russians against war.”
The protester managed to shout several words, including “Stop the war! Then the channel quickly switched the view to a report from one hospital.
