Ekaterine Tikaradze – The situation in regard to the bed fund is quite difficult

“The situation with the bed fund is quite difficult” – the Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze said after the meeting of the Coordination Council. As Ekaterine Tikaradze noted, the bed fund is fully saturated with patients.

 

“You know that we will use a number of methods to actively manage patients in the hospital sector. It is important to note that to date no patients have been left without hospitalization, I mean patients who need more than emergenvy treatment.

 

Today we have more than 52 thousand active cases and the main part is managed by family doctors at home, about 3 500 people are in the hotel sector, while the rest are undergoing treatment in hospitals. The condition of the patients in the hospitals is remarkable, because more than 1,500 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit, and 500 patients are being treated in the emergency care unit” – Tikaradze said.
