Doctor Gaprindashvili sentenced to seven days in detention

Tbilisi City Court has sentenced doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili to seven days of administrative detention, Judge Zviad Tskhovrebadze announced on Thursday.

Gaprindashvili was detained on Monday during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue, where demonstrators attempted to block the road.

Around 30 people were detained during the October 22 rally for violating public order.
