Metropolitan of Poti and Khobi, Eminence Grigol on Friday said that Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine had been directed against the “entire Ukrainian people” and aimed at the “complete destruction” of this nation.

In his most recent tweet, the top cleric stressed Russia’s actions “have nothing to do with common sense and even less with Christianity”.

“The latest events of the ongoing war in Ukraine have shown us that Russia’s actions are directed against the entire Ukrainian people and are aimed at the complete destruction of this nation.  This has nothing to do with common sense and even less with Christianity”, said Eminence Grigol.

The senior cleric has many times condemned Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, which began in late February.
