The National Environment Agency of Georgia on Thursday reported a rise in the concentration of solid particles, including PM10 and PM2.5, in the atmospheric air across various regions of Georgia, including the capital city of Tbilisi.

The agency attributed this increase to the dispersion of desert dust masses from southern and southeastern directions.

During similar synoptic conditions, the agency noted the occurrence of transboundary pollution on specific days throughout the year.

The agency emphasized individuals interested in monitoring air quality and receiving health recommendations could access pertinent information through the Atmospheric Air Quality Portal.
