Georgia's 2026 unified national university entrance examinations have begun, with testing taking place at 24 examination centres across the country, according to the National Assessment and Examinations Centre.
The examination centres are operating in 12 cities: Tbilisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Ozurgeti, Rustavi, Telavi, Khulo and Ambrolauri.
Candidates are sitting the Georgian language and literature examination on the opening day. The examination programme is scheduled to conclude on 22 July with the physics exam.
More than 83,000 candidates have registered for the 2026 examination cycle, the centre said.

I believe that, through your commitment and perseverance, you will achieve your goals and bring pride to our country through your knowledge, professionalism and accomplishments," the minister said in a statement.
