The European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) will convene tomorrow in Brussels, chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

The agenda will cover various pressing global issues, including the recent developments in Georgia. Discussions on Georgia are expected to take place under the “current affairs” segment, where ministers will address fast-moving developments in security and defense, alongside updates on Moldova.

Key topics for the Council include the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha joining via videoconference, and EU-US relations, which will be discussed over lunch.

The Council will also deliberate on the latest developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Syria, and will hold a breakfast discussion on hybrid threats before the meeting officially begins.

Additionally, on the eve of the session, the High Representative will host a dinner to discuss matters related to Belarus.

This FAC meeting is set to tackle a broad range of geopolitical and security challenges, with Georgia’s recent events being a focal point in the discussions.
