EU has plans to allocate additional €500mln for Ukraine

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell says the bloc intends to increase military aid to Ukraine by an additional €500 million.

 

According to foreign media reports, Borrell made the statement during a recent meeting of the G7 foreign ministers in Germany.

 

This assistance package will increase the funds  allocated by the European Union for military assistance to Ukraine to two  billion euros..

 

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

 

Hostilities have been in progress since then.
