EU official announces €3 bln loan for Ukraine from G7, funded by Russian frozen assets

Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission, announced that Ukraine will receive a €3 billion loan from the G7, funded by proceeds from frozen Russian assets.

“Russia started this war, so Russia must pay the price of it,” Kallas stated. The loan will help support Ukraine’s economy and free up resources for defense.
