EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell says that the EU has plans to increase non-lethal military assistance to Georgia and the Republic of Moldova.

“It will help improve logistics, cyber defense, military medical, engineering and mobility capabilities. We will present it in June,” Borrell said on Wednesday.

He suggested that Russia’s war in Ukraine had shown that the “EU must strengthen cooperation with its Eastern partners.”

Russia invaded Ukraine back on February 24 of this year.

Hostilities have been in progress since then.

Borrell reiterated the EU’s support for Ukraine in the war.
