EU’s Borrell: Georgia should continue working on its European path

Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Monday said he will encourage Georgia’s government to continue on its EU path, before the meeting with Irakli Kobakhidze, the newly appointed Prime Minister of Georgia, the next day.

 

Borrell was asked, before the start of the Foreign Affairs Ministerial, what the main message of the EU would be during the meeting with Kobakhidze. He noted that “the government is working well” and there is “strong support” from the Georgian people. Further emphasizing that this is “a great possibility for Georgia”.

 

Kobakhidze left for Brussels on his first visit as Prime Minister, on Monday.Within the framework of the visit, the PM has planned bilateral meetings with EU and NATO officials.
