The EU is expected to recognise Covid vaccination certificates issued by Georgia tomorrow, which will ease travel between Georgia and the EU and from the EU member states to Georgia.
“The EU foreign ministers will decide on the recognition of the Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by several neighboring and partner countries, including Georgia, “ Radio Liberty has cited European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi as saying.
“I have some good news related to the fight against the coronavirus crisis. “Today we will make a decision on the recognition of coronavirus certificates issued by Moldova, Georgia and Serbia, which means that not only will citizens of these countries be able to travel to the EU, but EU citizens will also be able to travel to these countries,” Varhely said.
The EU foreign ministers are expected to make that decision tomorrow and it will enter into force immediately.
In early October, the Czech Republic, an EU member state, individually recognized the vaccination certificate against Covid-19 issued by Georgia.
