A delegation of European officials, including German Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael Roth is en route to Tbilisi.

Roth announced the trip on social media, expressing anticipation for meetings with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, opposition leaders, civil society representatives, media, and students. Notably, Roth indicated that no meetings are planned with Georgian Dream government representatives.

In his post, Roth reaffirmed his support for Georgia’s European aspirations, saying simply, “Georgia is Europe!”

The delegation includes notable European parliamentarians from countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Estonia, France, Poland, and Finland, who are likely to address concerns surrounding Georgia’s democratic trajectory and alleged interference in the October 26 elections.
