European University initiates largest project for animal welfare

The students of the Tbilisi-based European University have initiated the largest project dedicated to animal welfare.

The student club VET EU Cares, affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the university, has launched the project titled “Caring for Animals: Are You In?!” As part of this initiative, they are organizing informative sessions with high school students from both public and private schools in Tbilisi.

The primary aim of this endeavor is to foster awareness and instill confidence among students regarding the significance of the veterinary field, emphasizing the importance of animal welfare, and highlighting the mental well-being benefits derived from nurturing a healthy bond with animals.

The project is open to students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades from both public and private schools. Registration is open until April 12, 00:00.

Participants will have the opportunity to write an essay within a two-hour timeframe, with the essay not exceeding three pages in length.

The competition is scheduled for April 13th at 14:00, hosted at the European University located at Guramishvili Avenue 76.

A dedicated panel will evaluate the essays submitted by the students, and prizes will be awarded to the first,  second, and third-place winners by the European University.

All participants will receive a certificate of participation during the award ceremony.
