Ex-health minister Tikaradze appointed deputy rector of Kutaisi International University

Ekaterine Tikaradze, Georgia’s former health minister who resigned last year, has been appointed deputy rector of Kutaisi International University in western Georgia.
The university reports that Tikaradze will take over the medical projects, in particular, she will lead the clinical part of the Hadron Therapy Center, the projects of the Teaching Hospital and the School of Medicine which will be implemented at the University.
Tikaradze served as the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, Labor, Health and Social Affairs between 2019 and 2021.
Prior to that, in 2015-2019, she held the position of General Director of the Sachkhere District Hospital Polyclinic Association, while between 2008-2013 she worked as a consultant for the development of the hospital and insurance sector in third countries in Switzerland.
