Activists of a far-right Atl-Info Conservative party attacked the crew of TV Monitoring on Tuesday in Kareli municipality of central Georgia.

The attackers reportedly were under the influence of alcohol.

The journalists and the cameraman claimed that the individuals verbally and physically abused them while working in the vicinity of a swimming pool.

“We were attacked by the supporters of Alt-Info who were under the influence of alcohol. There were three of them, up to 60 years old.

They asked us to stop our activities, and if we did not comply with their demands, they would attack us,” said the representatives of the media outlet.

The journalists stated that the reason for the attack was their pro-Western sentiments.

“They asked: are you in favor of Europe? We responded that, yes and they said that they would destroy everyone who want  Europe and the US,” said the media crew,

The Alt – Info and their party do not hide their pro-Russian attitudes, claiming that the US and Europe are engaged with “gay propaganda.”
