A fire that broke out near the Tbilisi railway station vending area has prompted temporary changes at the nearby Todua Clinic, although no injuries or health risks have been reported among patients or staff.

In a statement on Wednesday, the clinic confirmed that inpatient care continues without interruption and that no one inside the facility is in danger. “At the moment, the health of none of the patients and medical personnel admitted to the clinic is in danger,” the clinic said.

Outpatient services, however, were suspended for the day due to heavy smoke affecting the streets around the area.

Todua Clinic noted that its facilities were equipped with high-standard safety systems that had prevented smoke from entering the building. “At this stage, all relevant work is underway, which is determined by the safety protocol,” the statement added.
