The Georgian parliament on Tuesday is expected to approve five new MPs, replacing four former lawmakers of the ruling Georgian Dream party who quit their seats last month,  and to occupy one vacant position of Giorgi Amilakhvari, also from the GD, who has been appointed as an education minister.

Giorgi Chakvetadze, Tengiz Sharmanashvili, Merab Kvaraia, Salome Kurasbediani and Irakli Kirtskhalia will be voted on at the plenary session.

Irakli Kovzanadze, Giorgi Khelashvili, Nino Iobashvili and Vladimir Chachibaia, who last month voted against the controversial foreign agents bill backed by the GD, left the parliament.
