The government of Georgia took ‘three immediate steps’ to ensure there was no ‘black hole’ in the country for smuggling, said Grigol Vashadze, the Georgian opposition MP and the former chair of the United National Movement (UNM) party.

“I am telling you with full responsibility, the government has taken three immediate steps to ensure that there was no black hole in Georgia for smuggling, so that no one would be tempted to get involved in it,” Vashadze said in response to the claims that Russia was using Georgia for smuggling to bypass the international sanctions.
