Four killed, one injured after shooting in Rustavi

A shooting incident occurred in the market area of Rustavi, central Georgia, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and the injury of one person, the Georgian Interior Ministry confirmed on Friday, It was determined that G.O.-M., born in 1988, discharged multiple rounds within the market premises.

The outcome of this shooting was deadly, claiming the lives of four individuals, including one of the defendant’s uncles who was employed at the market. Additionally, one individual, identified as the accused’s cousin, sustained injuries, the body noted. 

The injured party has been transported to the hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical treatment. G.O. was apprehended by law enforcement officers at the scene.

Law enforcement personnel are currently on-site, actively implementing all necessary measures,” as emphasised by the Ministry.
