France has put Georgia on its coronavirus red list which means that starting midnight on August 28 travelers from Georgia will be able to enter France only if they are fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Such vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson.
Of the four vaccines recognised by EMA, only two, Pfizer and AstraZeneca are available in Georgia.
A traveller will need a vaccination certificate confirming the full course of vaccination.
In addition, seven days should have passed since receiving the second dose of the vaccine if the vaccine requires both doses; four weeks in the case if only one dose of the vaccine is required and seven days after the vaccination of the individuals who earlier contracted the virus.
Translating the vaccination certificate or its official confirmation is not necessary provided they are readable and the vaccination dates and the type of the vaccine used are indicated correctly.
Unvaccinated travelers from Georgia will be able to enter France only in case of urgent motives designed for red-zone countries.
Full information on travel rules can be found on the website of the French Embassy to Georgia.
Georgia has reported 4,031 new cases of coronavirus, 4,585 recoveries and 73 deaths in the past 24 hours.
More than 55,000 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
