French FM arrives in Tbilisi

Catherine Colonna, the French foreign minister, on Friday arrived in Georgia, with the Georgian deputy FM Teimuraz Janjalia meeting her at Tbilisi international airport, the Georgian foreign office said. 

 

The French diplomat will hold a meeting with FM Ilia Darchiashvili, which will be followed by a joint press conference. 

 

She will also meet with the country’s prime minister and the president before departing for Azerbaijan and Armenia. 

 

It is the first visit of the French foreign office head to Georgia since 2018, the body noted.
