Ambassadors of the G7 (G7) countries, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, discussed the implementation of judicial reform in Ukraine and the fight against disinformation, agreeing on its necessity while respecting freedom and pluralism of the media.

“The G7 ambassadors were delighted to meet with President Zelensky for the first time in 2021. We had a productive dialogue on several issues in support of development and welcomed initial progress on the SBU issue. The ambassadors agreed that there is a need to fight disinformation within the framework of media freedom and pluralism,” – reported on the Twitter page of the G7 ambassadors to Ukraine on Wednesday.

The ambassadors also heard the president's outlined plans for judicial reform. "They stressed the need for a comprehensive judicial reform, including the simultaneous reform of the Higher Qualification Collegium of Judges, and expressed concern about recent legislative initiatives (bills 3711, 4229) that will not provide quality, honest judges; people and businesses in Ukraine tell us they need them." , – the message says.
