Man sentenced to life for murder, rape and domestic violence in Khashuri

The Gori District Court has found a man guilty of murder, rape, and domestic violence in Khashuri Municipality, following evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia.

According to the prosecution, on 18 June 2025, the accused attacked the father of his disabled wife with a knife, causing multiple fatal injuries at the scene. The court also found that he assaulted the wife’s mother and subsequently raped her, taking advantage of her vulnerability.

The charges were brought under Georgia’s Criminal Code, including aggravated murder of a family member with disabilities, rape of a family member exploiting her helplessness, and domestic violence.

The Gori District Court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment.
