Garibashvili meets with PM of Netherlands on the sidelines of UN summit

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has met with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the sidelines of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.
Friendly relations and successful cooperation between the two countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats have been discussed.
Garibashvili thanked Rutte for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, adding that the Georgian Government appreciates the far-reaching involvement of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the EU Monitoring Mission.
Garibashvili pointed out Georgia’s ‘ambitious goal’ of officially applying for full EU membership in 2024, also underlining that Georgia is the EU’s ‘reliable partner’ making a ‘tremendous contribution’ to ensuring international peace and stability.
