Head of Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee from the ruling Georgian Dream party Nikoljuoz Samkharadze says that there is a willingness for retired, acting qualified judges from western countries to get involved in Georgia’s judicial reform.
Following the recent visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to Washington, Samkharadze says that already implemented reforms in the court should be summarized and analyzed.
“If there is something left that needs to be reformed, further steps should be taken for this,” Samkharadze said.
The EU and the US have several times called on Georgia to carry out large-scale judiciary and election reforms.
