Georgian Interior Minister visits Uzbekistan, set to sign law enforcement cooperation agreement

Georgian Interior Minister Geka Geladze is on an official visit to Uzbekistan together with a delegation, where he is being hosted by Uzbek Interior Minister Aziz Tashpulatov, the Georgian Interior Ministry said.

The body added Geladze will hold a bilateral meeting with his Uzbek counterpart and sign an agreement on cooperation in the law enforcement sphere between the two countries.

As part of the visit, the Minister will also participate in an international forum in Samarkand titled Countering Transnational Drug Threats Against Public Health and Security, organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan.
