The minister highlighted what he described as the importance of operational collaboration, particularly in the fight against organised crime

Georgia’s Interior Minister Geka Geladze has held an introductory meeting with France’s newly appointed ambassador to Georgia,Olivier Courtois, the Interior Ministry reported on Friday.

Geladze congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Tbilisi and wished him success in his future work.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed existing cooperation between the Georgian and French law-enforcement agencies.

The minister highlighted what he described as the importance of operational collaboration, particularly in the fight against organised crime.

The sides also discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral ties in the security and policing sphere. Both expressed hope that joint efforts would further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
