Georgia’s Interior Minister Geka Geladze has held talks with the head of Uzbekistan’s National Guard, Bakhodir Tashmatov, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies.

According to the Interior Ministry, the meeting highlighted the importance of the existing partnership between Georgia and Uzbekistan and the role of bilateral relations in regional security cooperation.

Officials discussed current collaboration between law enforcement bodies and reviewed potential future initiatives aimed at expanding operational and institutional ties.

Both sides expressed readiness to continue deepening cooperation and to maintain active engagement in areas of mutual interest.

The ministry said the meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to broaden international security partnerships and enhance coordination between the two countries’ relevant agencies.
