Georgia’s Interior Minister meets Chinese counterpart to strengthen police cooperation

Georgia’s Interior Minister, Geka Geladze, held a meeting with Wang Xiaohong, Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, during an official visit to Beijing.
The two officials discussed the ongoing cooperation between their countries’ law enforcement agencies. They focused on sectoral reforms, current projects, and the importance of sharing information and expertise within the framework of police collaboration, the MIA of Georgia said on Wednesday.
Minister Geladze emphasized that Georgia was ready to continue working closely with Chinese counterparts to make existing cooperation mechanisms more flexible and effective. Both sides also expressed willingness to carry out initiatives aimed at sharing experience and best practices between their agencies.
Geladze also thanked his Chinese counterpart for the collaboration and extended an invitation for a reciprocal visit to Georgia.
