Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, has held a series of working meetings with regional police leadership during an official visit to the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, the ministry has confirmed.

Accompanied by First Deputy Minister Roland Meskhi and deputy ministers Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and Shalva Tadumadze, Geladze met with the heads and personnel of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department and the regional division of the Patrol Police on Thursday.

The Interior Minister also toured other ministry units based in the region, including the Security Police and the Emergency Situations Management Service, inspecting operational facilities and equipment.

During the visit, officials were briefed on local crime prevention efforts, the general security situation, and road safety in the region. Geladze also received updates on civil security measures and thanked officers for their service, wishing them continued success in their duties.
