The Patrol Police briefed the Minister on recent developments in crime prevention.

Georgia’s newly appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, Gela Geladze, on Monday held a working meeting with senior officials from the Patrol Police Department, marking Policeman’s Day in the country.

During the session, Geladze extended his congratulations to the officers, commending their service and dedication. He also issued directives aimed at strengthening operational efficiency within the department, the body said. 

The Patrol Police briefed the Minister on recent developments in crime prevention, the implementation of preventive policing strategies, and ongoing efforts to enhance road traffic safety across the country, the MIA press office added.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Patrol Police Department, deputy directors, and regional heads from both Tbilisi and other parts of Georgia.
