Georgia-Armenia to organise online discussions on Covid

Georgian and Armenian health ministers have agreed to organise an online discussion on coronavirus issues, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze has tweeted. 

 

Tikaradze said that her and Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan’s views coincide on ‘many key issues’ and that they have already talked about the cooperation to share experience in the fight against coronavirus.

Armenia suffered from surging figures of coronavirus mainly during the early stages of the spread of the virus. 

 

The country with almost three million population, has had 241,336 cases of coronavirus so far. 

 

226, 292 of the 241,336 individuals have recovered, while 4,823 have died from the virus. 

 

Coronavirus cases first began to surge in Georgia in the autumn of 2021. Starting January the figures began to climb down. 

 

However, starting July of the year Georgia has reported record high figures of daily infections and deaths. 

 

Georgia with 3.7 million population has had 545,033 cases of coronavirus since February 2020 as of August 29. 

 

448,661 of the 545,033 individuals have recovered, while 7,329 have died from the virus so far.
