Georgia took the second spot in wine exports to Russia in 2023, as reported by Yevgeny Shcherbakov, head of the wine department at Luding Group, to the Russian government media outlet Tass. 

Shcherbakov revealed that Italy secured the top position in wine exports to Russia, with Spain following in third place.

Highlighting Georgia’s performance, Shcherbakov mentioned a “significant uptick”of 11.9 percent in wine exports to Russia compared to 2022, contrasting with declines from Italy and Spain.
