Leadx co-founder Zviad Adzinbaia on Thursday expressed regret over Georgia’s current position on the global stage, citing increased verbal conflicts and sanctions involving America and European countries, following the recent adoption of the controversial foreign influence transparency law by the country’s ruling power.

“It is sad that Georgia has risen to the international and world agenda in a negative way. Today, Georgia is in the mode of verbal conflict and sanctions in relation to America and European countries. I very much hope that it will stop somewhere before the elections, because the country will suffer, and I hope that the decisions made by our partners will hurt everyone less and focus on the people we are dissatisfied with,” said Adzinbaia.

The International Conference LEADxSUMMIT 2024 is taking place in Tbilisi, where discussions are centred on Georgia’s European integration, the upcoming general elections in October, and the steps taken by the current Georgian Dream authorities.
