Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, emphasized the importance of accurately presenting the country’s development trajectory to the international community, particularly its economic progress based on the reforms implemented over the past decade.
Speaking after the conclusion of the 4th United Nations International Conference, Botchorishvili noted that Georgia’s participation in the forum — attended by numerous high-level delegations from around the world — was vital for sharing the country's strategic priorities and reform outcomes.
“It was essential that Georgia’s message and focus areas were clearly conveyed,” she said. “For us, it is important that the international community receives accurate information about Georgia’s development — particularly the kind of economic development that is rooted in the reforms carried out in the last ten years and which are already delivering results.”
Botchorishvili also highlighted the opportunity to hold a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from other countries, where discussions focused on future cooperation, as well as Georgia’s policy of non-recognition regarding its occupied territories.
“We value the support our UN resolutions have received and see this as a foundation for continued cooperation with our partners,” she said, adding that both political and economic partnerships were central topics of discussion.
Looking ahead, the minister announced that Georgia has been selected to host the United Nations Public Service Forum in 2026 — a move she said underscores the country’s progress in public administration.
“This is an important opportunity to showcase our achievements, especially in public governance and service delivery, and to highlight the progress we’ve made in these areas to UN member states,” Botchorishvili stated.
