Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday praised his government’s “reasonable and consistent” policy and stressed that while Europe was facing recession and complications on the background of the Russia -Ukraine war, Georgia had “double-digit” economic growth along with peace and stability.

“The main challenge for us was to reduce the negative effects and influences due to the war. To insure risks and reduce threats. While the situation in Europe is very difficult , there is a shrinking economy, recession and unpredictable environment all over the world. In this situation, our small but strong state is maintaining peace, prosperity, stability and double digit economic growth”, he told the ambassadors conference.

Garibashvili also said the ongoing conflict was a challenge for the whole world and said “it should end as soon as possible”.
