Georgia has opened a treasury account -300778800, description – for Ukraine, to transfer money to Ukraine amid hostilities, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated earlier today.

He said  that both individuals and businesses are eager to transfer money to Ukraine to help the Ukrainian people as Russia invaded the country.

“That is why we decided to open the account. I wish peace to Ukraine and wish to support each other in the future only  for development and progress. We are very saddened by the situation there. The war in Ukraine is depressing for everyone,” Kaladze said.

He stated that Georgians are going to collect humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian people.
