Georgia, Peru sign visa-free deal

Georgia and Peru have signed a visa free agreement, the Georgian Foreign Office on Tuesday said following the meeting between Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Peruan counterpart  Ana Cecilia Gervasi Diaz on the sidelines of UNGA 78th session in New York. 

 

The officials also discussed bilateral cooperation and stressed the agreement was expected to further strengthen trade and economic ties, the Georgian Ministry said. 

 

Darchiashvili also emphasized the importance of cooperation with Latin American countries for Georgia.

 

The parties agreed to actively work for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in terms of sharing the experience of successful reforms of Georgia in the direction of services and public services, the MInistry added.
