Georgia ranks ahead of 13 EU member states for low corruption

TRACE International Bribery Risk Matrix has ranked Georgia among the top 20 countries in Europe and 30 across the globe in its 2021 ranking.
Georgia has ranked ahead of 13 EU member states, and is the region’s uncontested leader, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated earlier today, on the International Anti-Corruption Day.
“This result has been made possible thanks to our authorities’ anti-corruption legislation, engagement from civil society, and the government’s reforms ensuring openness.
We are steadfast in continuing our efforts toward greater freedom from corruption, accountability, accountability, and open governance,” Garibashvili said.
This year Georgia is 29th out of 194 foreign countries with a score of 26.
In the 2020 index Georgia ranked 28th of 194 counties, receiving a score of 25.
