Georgia records 11,232 new cases of Covid

Georgia has reported 11, 235 new cases of coronavirus and 34 deaths in the past 24 hours.
17,130 people have recovered from the virus in the reported period.
33,905 tests were conducted in Georgia on the weekend.
Omicron accounts for the majority of new infections.
Georgian health authorities say that only 72 cases of seasonal flu have been recorded in the country since mid-December.
The new strain has spread in the country rapidly, almost fully replacing the Delta variant of the virus.
The government encourages the people to get the booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine to prevent complications.
Despite the surge in daily cases, hospitals are not loaded.
